A message from last years winner - Mathew Precious

Being the first recipient of the Morgan Innes Foundation Scholarship was a great honor. I could not believe it when my name was announced. The difference it made to my training was incredible. Not only did it allow me to attend an intensive three week skating camp in my home town Perth but it also gave me the chance to travel overseas twice for training.

Firstly, to Ann Arbor Michigan, USA for three weeks and then to Oberstdorf, Germany for one week. The overseas trips has changed the way I personally train everyday and has allowed me to skate with some of the best skaters in the world. This has inspired me and reinforced my passion for the sport. I would personally like to thank the Innes Family and ISA for making this possible; they have made such a difference in my skating career.

Lastly, I hope that every recipient gets as much out of this scholarship as I have, 2007/08 is a year that I won’t forget! Matthew Precious
